Many people have asked me how or what started my interest in
collecting. That goes back to my great aunt's general store
which my parents visited often when I was a small boy. I would
have eyes wide open looking at all of the early toys and fancy
candy that awaited a small boys attention. I would always give
a look over to my great aunt and hopefully get the go ahead to
remove the lid off the jar for the attack! I would play in that
store for hours while my parents visited with the other adults.
When I was 11, the old store was sold after my great aunt passed
away. I never went back to that neat old store but just
thinking of that place always brings back such great memories.
Maybe that's where I get the bug for collecting country store
stuff . This fever has afforded me a chance to meet so many
good people. I've always enjoyed meeting new friends through
collecting and traveling throughout many states to build my
extensive collection. I'm extremely proud that I will have the
opportunity to share this collection with grandparents and
others that may have remembered the experience of an old country
store or an early drug store. My passion for items of the past
has led me into a profession that I thoroughly enjoy.
Collecting items
since 1972, I am currently in the process of opening my country
and drug store museum. Thanks to my wife, Donna who has always
encouraged me to fulfill my dream. Donna is at every auction
checking customers in and handling any problems or questions our
buyers may have while I'm calling the auction. Thanks for
viewing our website and come see us!
